RUFF HOUSE - BOB MARLEY TRIBUTE
This concert is the last tribute band performing as part of the City of Boca Raton’s Summer in the City series of FREE Friday night live music and movies under the moonlight at Downtown Boca’s Mizner Park Amphitheater.
Tribute concert attendees ages 21 and over can sample a variety of craft beers from Hollywood Brewery at the Beer Garden starting at 7:00 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, car pool and use free parking at City Hall and the Boca Raton Library.
Seating: Chairs and blankets are welcome. For your convenience, chairs will be available to rent for $5 cash inside the venue
Food and beverages will be available to purchase inside the venue. No outside food or beverages are allowed.

When you board the “Ride & Remember” Trolley Tour, the history of Delray Beach comes alive! Illustrated with colorful stories of the personalities and happenings that influenced the growth of the city, the tour does more than relay facts – it draws the riders back in time. BACK TO SCHOOL SPLASH
Boca Raton's Sugar Sand Park is bringing in three inflatable water slides and a smaller one for toddlers at this year's free splash party before children head back to school.
"We had 1,400 people last year, families with kids who like to run around outside and get wet in August," special events coordinator Stacee Lanz said about the sixth annual Back to School Splash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 12.
Children will have unlimited access to inflatable water slides from 20 to 30 feet high and up to 60 feet long.
"There will be three water slides for the older kids and one water slide for ages 5 and younger and kids who may need assistance," she said.
A smaller slide will be in the toddler area with tabletop water toys and a toddler fishing game.
"We do allow a parent to go with the child and we encourage it, if the child needs help climbing up," Lanz said.
"Wear a bathing suit or something they don't mind getting wet. Bring sunscreen, towels and a change of clothes if you're planning on going back into the community center after the event," she added. "We have turbo bubble machines. They're ongoing and they love to run through the bubbles."
Make-and-take activities include spray bottle painting and a marble tile craft. We fill up paint in spray bottles and it makes a pretty cool painting," Lanz said. "The tile is white and we draw on them and we make it marbleized."
Concessions will be available for purchase from Chick-fil-A, Bobby G's Drivin' Diner, Joji Frozen Yogurt and Tikiz Shaved Ice.
Back to School Splash is recommended for age 3 and older, and is weather permitting.

Habitat for Humanity Block Party Luau
Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County is hosting a Block Party Luau in the city’s historic Pearl City on Aug. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Festivities include creative arts mosaic tile painting in the Children’s Activity Tent, a silent auction, live steel drum musical entertainment and a Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum exhibition of Pearl City photographs. Admission is a $20 per person donation; $10 per child age 13 and under that can be paid online at www.habitatsouthpalmbeach.org or at the door. All proceeds support Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County.

Wake Class - Water Ski, Wakeboard, Kneeboard
The Ski Rixen cable wakeboard park is the perfect place to learn how to wakeboard, waterski, wake skate, or kneeboard. The group cable lessons give you the opportunity to learn in a relaxed and safe environment by the professional staff. During the group lessons, they slow down the cable speed to a beginner level making it easier to learn how to ride for the first time or to improve your skill on the obstacles.

Established in 2012, Sick Puppies Comedy was started by Casey Casperson and 12 of his improv friends. After their previous company had broken up, they started performing shows in Boca Raton. Nearly 5 years later, the company has expanded to 23 cast members, 50 current students and over 400 past students to create 3 ensemble teams as well as 2 house teams. They perform most of their shows at Center Stage Boca Raton where they also teach improv and stand up comedy.
